2015 Mastercraft X23

Hydrotunes upgraded the factory system in the 2015 MasterCraft Boat Company X23 with JL Audio & Wet Sounds equipment. We added a 2nd pair of tower speakers, 8.8″ JL Audio’s in Titanium Black with black housings, to more than double the output of the factory 7.7″ JL’s, which were relocated to the inner mounting positions on the tower for cosmetics. The factory 2-channel tower speakers amp was replaced with a JL marine 6-channel, to power all 4 tower speakers. We also added a 3rd pair of in-boat speakers – matching JL Audio 7.7″s in Titanium Black. The in-boat speakers & factory subwoofer remained powered by the factory 5-channel amp, and we added a JL 1000W marine amp to power our new subwoofer setup. A custom amp rack was built and wrapped in OEM material to mount the 3 amplifiers. We built a custom dual-ported enclosure for 2 JL Audio 12″ W3’s inside the driver’s helm compartment, and cut-in & trimmed-out a custom bass exit vent in the under-helm wall, complete with Mastercraft badge to add some OEM flare to our aftermarket solution. A Wet Sounds EQ was mounted at the driver’s helm, for zone volume control and PA mic over tower speakers. We also upgraded battery #2 to an AGM marine deep-cycle battery, and replaced the factory battery switch with a true dual battery selector, giving the customer control over which battery the stereo pulls from and when.
